It keeps your own record of the hours you actually worked. Register your workplace in advance, and the app automatically logs when you enter and leave that area, which you can then review by day and by month.

No. You are the only person keeping the record and the only person who sees it. Records stay on your device, and there is no mechanism for an employer or anyone else to view them. Whether you show your records to anyone is entirely your decision.

No. There is no registration and no sign-in, and the app never asks for your name or email address.

So that it can record your arrivals and departures while the app is closed.

On iOS, an app needs "Always" permission to receive location notifications in the background. With "While Using the App", crossings that happen while the app is closed cannot be detected, and your recorded hours will be unreliable.

No. The app does not read your location continuously, and it does not record your route.

It reads your location only in these cases:

• When you tap to capture your current location while registering a workplace
• When iOS detects that you have entered or left a registered workplace
• When you open the app and it checks your position against the existing record

Location data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted. See "How location data is used" in the privacy policy for details.

In the iOS Settings app, go to Settings > はたらきろく > Location. You can also trigger the "Always" permission request from the Settings tab inside the app.

Withdrawing permission does not delete records that have already been made.

It is an iOS location feature: you define a circular area around a point, and the system notifies an app when you cross its boundary.

The app registers a circle centred on your workplace with iOS. Entering the area creates an arrival record, and leaving it creates a departure record.

It is a 100-metre radius around the point you registered.

The current iOS version does not provide a way to change this radius. Where you place the workplace point therefore determines which area counts as your workplace.

First, check the following:

• Whether location permission is set to "Always"
• Whether Location Services is enabled at all in iOS Settings
• Whether Airplane Mode or a power-saving setting is interfering
• Whether the 100-metre radius around the point you registered actually covers where you work

Geofence detection can be delayed or missed depending on signal conditions and positioning accuracy. This is inherent to how iOS location services work and cannot be entirely prevented.

To compensate, the app checks your current location against the record whenever you open it, and adds a correcting entry if the two disagree. Corrections remain identifiable as corrections.

It means there is an arrival with no matching departure.

In that situation, the actual time you left is genuinely not known. Rather than filling in a plausible-looking time, the app shows the stretch as unknown and leaves it out of your total hours.

This is deliberate: the app's priority is to preserve what was actually recorded.

The app does not store working hours at all. It stores only the events — that you entered or left a workplace at a certain time — and recalculates the hours from those events whenever they are displayed.

A shift that runs past midnight is apportioned across the days it spans.

The current iOS version does not include a way to edit the times on a recorded arrival or departure.

Treat it as an estimate for your own reference.

The calculation applies overtime, late-night, and statutory holiday premium rates to the hourly or monthly wage you entered. Actual pay depends on your employment contract, workplace rules, allowances, deductions, and rounding practices. The figure shown is not guaranteed to match what you are actually paid.

The app is built to preserve what was recorded without alteration, but how any record is weighed depends on the circumstances and the process involved.

The app does not provide legal advice. For advice on a specific situation, please consult a labour standards inspection office, a trade union, or a lawyer.

The current iOS version has no in-app function for deleting workplaces or work records. To remove them, delete the app from your iOS Home Screen.

Deleting the app removes the app's data stored on your device. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

The diagnostic log is the exception: it can be deleted in full from Settings > App log inside the app.

No. The app has no server of its own and never transmits your records, so there is nothing held outside your device.

If you have iOS device backups enabled, however, the operating system may include the app's data in those backups. You can review backup settings in the iOS Settings app.
